Providence Brewing Secures Spot as Finalist in Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Program

PROVIDENCE, May 2, 2024 -- Providence Brewing is thrilled to announce its selection as a finalist in the prestigious Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream, the revolutionary philanthropic mentorship program inspired by Jim Koch, founder of Samuel Adams. As one of six finalists representing its unique cultural and brewing perspective, Providence Brewing stands out for its innovative approach as a unique fusion of Cuban heritage and modern brewing, offering both beers and cultural experiences through traditional Cuban ingredients and techniques. Their creative approach targets non-beer drinkers by redefining craft beer as a sophisticated base for cocktails, expanding their appeal, and positioning them as a leader in evolving the craft beer industry.

The next step in this exciting journey takes Providence Brewing to the Samuel Adams Downtown Boston Taproom for the Beer Bash 2024, scheduled for Friday, June 7, 2024. At this pivotal event, Efren Hidalgo, founder and head brewer of Providence Brewing, will represent the brewery. He will share the story behind Providence Brewing and offer samples of their signature beer, Dirty Sundae Blue Raspberry, to the attendees and judges, aiming to garner their support and secure the Experienceship.

About the Experienceship:

The Brewing & Business Experienceship is an annual program that invites craft brewers nationwide to apply for unparalleled access to brewing and business resources. The program includes hands-on mentoring at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery and the opportunity to collaborate on a specialty beer with Samuel Adams. The winner also gets to attend the Great American Beer Festival, shadowing and gaining experience alongside Samuel Adams professionals.

What Winning Means:

If Providence Brewing is selected as the 2024 Experienceship winner, it would mean an invaluable opportunity for mentorship directly from the experts at Samuel Adams. This would also include collaborating on a specialty beer and accessing essential business resources and capital. Such support would be instrumental in furthering Providence Brewing's mission to innovate within the craft brewing industry and serve its community more effectively.

“Starting Providence Brewing was a realization of my dream to integrate my Cuban heritage with the craft of brewing, focusing on creating unique experiences for both the Hispanic community and craft beer lovers alike,” said Efren Hidalgo, Providence Brewing Founder and Head Brewer. “Being mentored by someone as influential as Jim Koch would be incredibly transformative, not just for me, but for our entire team at Providence Brewing. This mentorship would allow us to expand our horizons and continue to innovate in ways that honor our roots and excite our patrons.”
